The Start of the BIG EAST

January 5, 2010 | Written By: Keno Davis

The first two games of the Big East were not expected to be easy for us with tough tests at Notre Dame, and at St. John's.  I thought we played hard in both games, and were fortunate to come out on top at St. John's giving us a 1-1 split for the road trip.  It was definitely a good sign that we could come back to play well in the second half of the Notre Dame game and continue to have two good halves against St. John's.  We understand that there will be ups and downs with such a young team this season, but effort must be the constant measuring stick for our ultimate success.

There was quite a bit of good feedback from the posting comparing our team this year to last season, so I will try and continue to give you that information.  The following are national rankings from this date of the season.

TO Per Game 162 39

Although statistics can at times be misleading, the more games we play, the more often they lead us to areas that we need to improve.  Our staff and players are committed to working hard to become better individually and as a team.

Thank you for your support!

All the Best,

Keno Davis
