Returning from the Road

January 18, 2010 | Written By: Keno Davis

Although our last game at Marquette was disappointing, our team returned from another two game road trip with a split.  Our young players were able to get a good number of valuable minutes in both games and should improve from the experience.

Our win against DePaul was important for the progress of the program as it was viewed by many households because of the ESPN2 coverage.  A chance for recruits to see our uptempo fastbreaking style has not gone unnoticed.

The focus of our staff going forward is twofold. One is on player development as we need to become better defenders, rebounders and shooters. The players on our team that will put in the extra time necessary to reach another level will be the ones that will determine our teams success. The other focus is that of recruiting. No staff in the country will outwork ours in the efforts of finding and attracting the best student athletes and the best fits for Providence College.
