The Future of PC Basketball

March 30, 2010 | Written By: Keno Davis

There is reason for great optimism in Friartown as we look forward to the upcoming seasons of Providence Basketball. The development of our younger players, combined with early success on the recruiting trail gives us reason to believe we can continue to improve each season.

In order for us to maximize our success we need to improve all areas of the program. Some of the areas we are working on right now are recruiting, scheduling and fundraising. Another area that we can improve is our home court advantage at "The Dunk." Please send your  comments and ideas on how we can have the best crowd and how to create one of the toughest places to play in the country.

Thanks for your support and keep checking back for updates at www.coachkenodavis.com.

End of the Season

In building a successful basketball program there are many areas that must be addressed and improved (at the top of our list you would find recruiting and player development). Although I can't talk specifically about our recruiting efforts [per NCAA rules], I can say that I am more than pleased with the early results. Through the tireless work of my staff, we have been able to secure some of the country's best student-athletes.

Thanks again for all of our great fans that back our program! Whether you contribute financially, buy season tickets, or just cheer for the Friars, we value your support. Keep checking back to www.coachkenodavis.com for new features and updates on our program. Our fans truly understand that hard work pays dividends, and I can promise you that no one will work harder!

Top 10 Schedule

March 4, 2010 | Written By: Keno Davis

We have had the most difficult stretch of the season in the nation with five of our last eight games against teams in the top eight in the country.  We have shown great effort in those games and held leads in the second half in three out of the five.  Of our other three games two were on the road, a 4 point loss at Cincinnati and a last play loss at South Florida.  The other game was a three point home loss to Marquette.

I bring up the details of our stretch to focus on our competitiveness despite our lack of results on the scoreboard.  We are working towards our goal of sustained success year in and year out.  I am confident that the combination of player development with increased recruiting success will get us to our goal.

Thanks for all of the e-mails and letters of support of our program. Keep checking back for exciting news accurately and first at www.coachkenodavis.com
